In “Talk of the Town: What every citizen should know about water,” a local group advocating for sustainable use on the in the Upper Verde River Watershed and Prescott Active Management Area presented a primer on important water issues in their area.
The primer, which appeared as on opinion piece by The Citizens Water Advocacy Group, an education-minded organization, presented information on the status of two potential water importation projects, along with the challenges they face, discussed a new USGS tool for groundwater managers, and rallied the community to go to greater lengths to conserve water.
